Recently I've been practicing digital art - mostly following David Revoy's instructional videos and text guides. I've decided to publish some of the best work here. I'm always happy to receive feedback if you have any to improve my skills.

The work here is provided under CC-BY-SA 4.0. The Krita source files should be available here. You can go back to the homepage here.

1. Cricket, Anyone

This is a small piece paying homage to Cricket, Anyone. I tried playing a bit with glow effects in Krita this time, and some new brushes.

2. Varchas

This is another drawing from Sunless Sea, of the location "Varchas, the City of Light and Mirrors".

I tried to get something workable as fast as possible in this piece, which means it isn't as polished.

3. Pathologic

Pathologic is a game I liked quite a bit. I enjoyed the themes around loss, sacrifice, and progress, as well as some of the more minor themes as well, and I tried to capture these themes into this drawing.

This time I tried painting with Krita assistants for the first time, and I tried exposing myself to a wider selection of brushes as well. I also tried to reduce the amount of layers (ie: working on a single paint layer) like most other digital (and physical) artists do, but I found this didn't mesh well with my style of painting. Lastly, I tried to include a lot more little details (like cracks, damage, and folds) than I have in the past.

4. The Dawn Machine

The Dawn Machine is perhaps the most iconic/inspiring location in the game "Sunless Sea". However, most renditions of it have been either two-dimensional from the top or a single orb which isn't what I imagined when playing.

I tried a more painterly style (no lines) for the first time during this piece, and I suppose this is my first "fanart".
